Rebuilding Conversation (Effective   Communication for Conflict Resolution) Conflict is a necessary part of the interpersonal communication process. A certain level of conflict is necessary to grow. Unfortunately, while we are engaged in conflict, it can be difficult to maintain focus on what is at the core of the issue. This workshop uncovers how conflict can arise from what often begins when opposing viewpoints are presented in a normal conversation.   Participants will learn how to identify and return to the core of a conversation when conflict arises, how to identify when a conversation is approaching tension or conflict as well as how to redirect it into a   constructive discussion. Participants will also be led through an engaging interaction giving them the opportunity to apply the techniques that have learned.

*Communication style assessments can be added to this workshop.

Emotional Intelligence & mindfulness to lead, connect & engage

This workshop is designed based on the principles of emotional intelligence and mindfulness. This hybrid delves into the impact that mindfulness and emotional intelligence can have on culture, leadership style and how one is viewed in their interactions. Studies show that the most effective leaders are high in emotional intelligence. Emotional Intelligence, also known as EI, is the understanding of how emotions impact us inwardly and the outward manifestation which impacts our interactions. If leadership, positive communication, improved performance and morale are goals for your organization, then it is critical that the premise of EI is understood and the impact it has on culture, performance and engagement.

This workshop has an interactive component and can include an EI assessment.

The Challenge

 An Interactive Workshop

The Challenge is a fun interactive workshop designed around a competition that requires participants to use emotional intelligence, teamwork, creative problem solving, inquiry and effective communication in accomplishing a goal. Leaders and teams can often become stuck operating from limited ways of thinking. Failure to become flexible in our approach can mean failure to learn, which can lead to delays, repeating non-productive behaviors and a lack of forward progression. This workshop offers an opportunity for participants to gain insight into self-discovery of how behavior, personality and problem solving are expressed when we work outside of our comfort zones. With a twist at the end, participants will leave with a reflective experience and knowledge gained of how to be more effective in challenging situations.
